The certificate page shows a tree birthday of 5 September 2026, the day we paid; the certificate's own footnote says a sponsorship may correspond to a tree planted in the upcoming season; and the project's August 2026 update puts its mangrove planting in November. We have taken the later reading, which is why nothing is counted yet. The location is open in the same way. The project's stated district is Lushoto, in the Usambara mountains at around 1,200 m; black mangrove is a coastal species, and the August update describes a new site on the coast at Mwamboza. Where these particular trees will grow is not settled, so this record claims no location. For the planting record later: Lushoto District spans 4 25' to 4 55' south and 38 10' to 38 35' east. Tree-Nation states 120 kg of CO2 a year across the twelve, described as offset. Sapling Network does not make offset claims (Section 16) and has not adopted that figure.",
